Buyers of full-size luxury sedans are difficult to please. They demand performance, luxury, advanced technology, and cutting edge styling. The Audi A8 and S8–a car that’s been forever immortalized as the hero vehicle in Ronin)- deliver on all those fronts. But for 2015, both sedans are getting even better.

The 2015 A8 and S8 aren’t all-new, but the latest versions boast a range of enhancements that are sure to appease even the most demanding buyers. Updates include a more expressive front fascia with Matrix LED headlights that can automatically lower the high-beams for oncoming vehicles, and integrated turn signals that light up to point in the direction the driver’s about to turn. But of course, these features are just the appetizer.

While Audi has reduced horsepower of the base 3.0-liter supercharged V6 to from 328 horsepower to 310, the automaker has increased output from its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 from 414 hp to 435 hp, helping the massive sedan sprint from 0-60 mph in a mere 4.5 seconds. The 4.2-liter TDI unit increases output as well from 345 hp to at 385 hp, and the hybrid offers a combined 245 hp and 354 lb-ft. And as for the S8, Audi hasn’t messed with its 6.3-liter W12 engine, so it will continue to produce a healthy 513 hp.

No matter what model or engine is selected, all A8s and S8s will get an eight-speed automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive.

Aside from performance updates, Audi has lengthened the top-of-the-line A8 L by five inches. The interior of its flagship also dons new trim options.

Audi’s sedans have long boasted impressive technology (i.e. in-vehicle WiFi), but the German automaker expanded its range of niceties with a new active lane and parking assist systems, a new head-up display and night vision system that can recognize animals and people ahead of the vehicle. Buyers can even enjoy new aesthetic options, such as new color options, wheels up to 21 inches in diameter and the availability of carbon-ceramic brakes.

Timing for the 2015 Audi A8’s arrival in showrooms has yet to be announced. However, in the meantime you can find additional details posted below.
